Beautiful and significant work by Giuseppe Zigaina dated 1954 dense with neorealist content and which fully expresses its social poetics. The work portrays about twenty figures icluding workers, women, children, partisans, Italian as well as German and Russian soldiers from the War. On the reverse: strikers of the Cormor during the 1950/53 events. Rare work depicting a cross section of the tragedy of the war and resistance movement in Friuli and of the social drama of the post-war period.
Small tear at upper center and little holes in the extreme upper corners.
