This work by Emilio Vedova is an oil on canvas with thick impasto: Vedova almost never used oil paint after the 1960s; however only by using oil paint could he obtain that impasto effect typical of his masterpieces and that we can see here: in spite of its limited dimensions, this is in fact a work that possesses all the expressive and dynamic explosiveness of Vedova's gesture thanks to the thickness of its impasto.
