Prototype created by Massironi for Nikol. Provenance: Nikol Art, Padova. Unique piece. LINEARE / ZETA is a design by Manfredo Massironi and its prerogative lies in the geometric pattern of the doors which allows to create a variety of kinetic images with a strong visual impact. The containers, manufactured by NIKOL since 1973, can have doors with a back or double doors (like this prototype). Very rare work on canvas by Mukai dated 1960: the artist in a moment of madness in November 1965 burnt all the works in his studio (this is documented in the Ashiya Museum in Japan), thus, the ones from the 1960-65 period that were saved were really very few, so extremely rare and important as this one is.
